2004 - PES implements advanced lighting technology at headquarters
of major Real Estate Investment Trust
PES oversaw the installation of an advanced lighting controls technology
for a major Real Estate Investment Trust. The technology, the "Encelium
Controls System" (ECS) allows tenants to realize energy savings
of 65% by controlling fluorescent lighting loads. ECS is a system
that seamlessly integrates multiple energy management strategies
into one robust system. The system allows for Daylight Harvesting,
Task Tuning, Occupancy Control, Time Scheduling, Load Shedding,
and Personal Light Control, which greatly decrease the amount of
energy wasted with unnecessary lighting, increases worker productivity
and ergonomics, and helps tenants have more control over-and thus
greatly reduce-their energy consumption.
