There are millions of packaged air conditioning (A/C) units on
office, retail and industrial buildings throughout North America.
Until recently, it was difficult to cost-effectively retrofit air
cooled, rooftop air-conditioning systems. These A/C units typically
have Energy Efficiency Ratings (EERs) between 7-9 and some actually
perform at very low EERs of 5 or 6.
Princeton Energy Systems offers retrofit packages and control technologies
to achieve significant energy savings. Additional benefits can include:
increased cooling/refrigeration capacity, extended equipment life
and lower maintenance. These retrofit technologies can also be connected
to chillers and rack refrigeration units.
Applications include:
All air-cooled rooftop packaged unit systems (not dependent
upon heating type) in retrofit/upgrade situations or added to new
equipment to upgrade capacity and EER performance
Air-cooled chillers (retrofit/upgrade or new installation)
Split-System air-conditioning and heat pump systems
Rack refrigeration systems
